For creatives who know they’re ready for more… but feel hesitant to spend
There’s a moment that doesn’t get talked about enough.
It’s not when you decide you want to grow your business.
And it’s not when you’re researching your options.
It’s the moment right before you invest.
You’re sitting there, looking at the price, knowing this could be a turning point… and then the thoughts start coming in.
- What if this doesn’t work?
- What if I spend this money and nothing changes?
- What if I’ve already tried things that didn’t work before?
- What if I should just wait a little longer?
And suddenly, something that felt exciting just minutes ago feels heavy. If you’ve been there, you’re not alone.

This Isn’t Just About Money
When you’re running a business, especially alongside real life, this isn’t just a casual purchase.
This is:
- Time you’ve worked for
- Energy you’ve put in
- Sacrifices you’ve made along the way
So of course you’re going to think carefully about where that money goes.
Add in things like:
- Being a mom
- Supporting a household
- Trying to grow something sustainable
…and it makes sense why investing in your business can feel overwhelming. This isn’t fear because you’re reckless. It’s fear because you care.
But Here’s Where It Gets Tricky
That same fear that’s trying to protect you…can also be the thing that keeps you stuck.
Because waiting often feels like the safer option. But what waiting can actually look like is:
- Staying in the same pricing range year after year
- Attracting the same types of clients(that aren’t your ideal clients)
- Constantly second guessing your brand or website
- Feeling like you’re working hard, but not moving forward
I’ve been there too. There were seasons where I held off on investing because I wasn’t sure. I told myself I just needed more time, more clarity, more proof that it would work. But nothing really changed during that time. I just stayed in the same place longer than I needed to.
Not Every Investment Will Be Worth It
Let’s be honest for a second. Not everything you invest in will change your business.
I’ve had both experiences. There have been things that didn’t go the way I hoped:
- Courses I didn’t finish
- Ads that didn’t work as well as I’d hoped
- Programs that felt surface-level
- Things I bought thinking they’d be the thing and weren’t
And on the other hand, there have been the ones that really shifted everything:
- Coaching that gave me clarity almost immediately
- Support that changed how I made decisions
- Partnerships that brought more business and freedom
- Investments that helped me grow faster and more confidently
The difference wasn’t luck. It came down to being more intentional about what I said yes to.
Now I look for:
- Alignment with where I am right now and where I want my business to be
- Clear direction or outcomes
- People who understand my industry and goals
The goal isn’t to never make a wrong decision. It’s to make better, more aligned ones over time.

Cutting Corners Can Cost You More Than You Think
This doesn’t just show up in business. It shows up in real life too. We’ve taken the cheaper route with home projects before. At the time, it felt like we were being smart.
- We saved money upfront
- We made progress quickly
- Everything looked great at first
But over time, things started to shift.
- The quality didn’t hold up
- Wear and tear showed up faster
- We started talking about redoing it much sooner than expected
Now we’re in a place where we’ll likely spend more fixing it than we would have if we had just invested a little more from the beginning. The same pattern happens in business all the time.
Quick fixes can:
- Feel productive in the moment
- Give you that short-term “I did something” feeling
- But not support where you’re actually trying to go
And eventually, you find yourself right back where you started.
So How Do You Know If It’s the Right Time?
This is the question underneath everything. Not “Is this scary?” Because it probably will be.
But:
“Is this aligned with where I want to go?”
Before making a bigger investment, I’ve learned to ask myself:
- Does this solve a real problem I’m facing right now?
- Will this support the next level of my business?
- Am I choosing this out of clarity… or just urgency?
Those questions change everything.
You Don’t Have to Have It All Figured Out
A lot of people wait because they think they need to feel 100% ready. You don’t. Infact, you may never feel 100% ready. You just need enough clarity to take the next step.
The right investment should:
- Give you direction
- Reduce guesswork
- Help you move forward with more confidence
Not leave you feeling more overwhelmed.
If You’re Feeling Stuck Right Now
If you’ve been in the same place for a while…doing the same things…getting similar results…
It might not be because you’re doing something wrong. It might be because you’ve outgrown what you’re currently doing. And the next step isn’t always more effort.
Sometimes it’s better support. Better strategy. Better alignment.
If You’re Thinking About Investing in Your Brand or Website
If you’re in that in-between space, wanting to grow, but feeling hesitant to spend, you don’t have to rush the decision. But you also don’t have to stay stuck because of fear.
That’s why we:
- Start with a discovery call to make sure it’s the right fit
- Give you a behind the scenes look at what our process and your experience will look like when working with us
- Offer payment plans to make things more manageable
- Focus on strategy first so you’re not wasting time or money
- Give you ideas and direction on how to further improve your client experience and stand out from the competition
Because the goal isn’t just to invest.
